Our Story

Broken Arrow Farm is a one-women owned and operated raw milk micro-dairy in Calhoun County, WV.

My name is Lyndsey Miller, I was born and raised on a cow/calf operation that my grandparents ran. I showed Replacement Heifers for ten years at the Wirt County Fair which is where I really fell in love with cattle and the routine of working with them.

I graduated from WVU-P with a degree in Diversified Agriculture and then went on to get another degree to become a Veterinary Assistant.

I’ve always known I wanted to run a dairy farm, I love working with the cows every day, I love that they love routine like I do, and I love the peace that it brings me. In the spring of 2021 I set out to purchase one bottle baby Jersey heifer to become my families milk cow. When I got to the dairy farm where I was going to purchase one calf, I ended up purchasing four! (crazy I know).

As the years passed the more people gained interest in wanting to buy raw milk from me, I started researching what it would take to run a safe and healthy raw milk business in the state of West Virginia. I researched and studied for 2+ years for the best and safest practices that fit my family and farm.

In August of 2023 two of my Jersey Heifers gave birth and that was the official start to my dairy farming dream.
